Description: | An international bank with a track record of deposits and credit evolution is establishing its operations in Namibia, and so it needs to build a qualified and motivated team. The international bank is recruiting motivated staff with banking experience who intend to be part of this project and its challenges. Corporate Trader JOB PURPOSE Corporate trader will work with the bank branches or directly with new clients and be responsible for opening and initiating business with SME and corporate sectors. Have and in depth knwoledge of FX Markets and commercial awareness. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Key responsibilities: - To have an in depth knowledge of FX markets and the ability to understand market influences. To be able to discuss these movements with customers at a proficient level but not to give advice; - To quote accurate spot/forward and cross rates to customers and to immediately cover exposure with the Trading Desk. Able to work in a stressful environment with high volume, time critical dealing procedures; - To proactively contact customers to identify business opportunities; - To adhere to the Dealing Desk standards and practice, namely to comply with internal risk limits; - To communicate effectively, both with team and managers, using the appropriate method of communication, ensuring that issues are raised and team members are kept informed; - Good understanding of the regulatory framework in Namibia and globally; - Needs to build a good working relationship with compliance and other control functions. Abilities requirements: "- Strong knowledge of Namibian Banking Operations; - Strong knowledge of foreign exchange markets and instruments;" - High degree of self-motivation and ability to work as part of a team; - Strong and effective Customer Relationship Management skills; - Strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner. Education and experience requirements: - University degree or equivalent in Finance, Treasury, Business or Economics; -Advanced IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Thomson Reuters and/or Bloomberg; - 3/5 years working experience in a Trading Room function - preferably as Corporate Trader. |
