| Position: Audiologists - 2 needed URGENTLY Location: Windhoek, Namibia Duration: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Type of Business: Medical Remuneration: The package we offer will include: • Housing paid for by the company – usually a 2 bedroom simplex/flat in a security estate. Fully furnished • Company car – provided by the company, for private & business use in and around Namibia • Provident fund – company contributes full 12% towards a fund of your choice • Medical aid – company contributes 50% (up to max of R570) towards a medical aid of your choice • Salary depends on seniority of the candidate but can be anything from N$ 22 000 to N$ 25 000 (this is just for the basic salary, benefits still to be added to this) • 20 days annual leave, 4 months paid maternity leave • Training provided at Head office (Pretoria, South Africa) – at the company’s expense Main Functions: • Conduct all audiology work according to the set standards in the following documents: o Paediatric Protocol o Audiological Test Battery & Other o Case History o Otoscopic Examination o Pure tone Air Conduction o Pure tone air conduction – Masking o Pure tone bone conduction o Audiograms o Pure tone bone conduction – masking o Speech reception threshold (SRT) o Speech discrimination (SD) o Speech Audiograms o Tympanometry o Impression taking o Insertion Gain o Hearing Aid selection guidelines o Fitting/Counselling guidelines o Programming protocol • Follow-up • Checking h/aids for minor repairs as per spec file • Manual Invoices – test / hearing aid / repair / etc. • Report writing • Order HAIDs & Accessories • Follow up on HAID Quotes within 2 weeks • Testing of HAID • Ear mould Tubings • Contact MAID re patient benefits • Backup for switchboard/reception • Assist with training & workshops • Assist with quarterly stock take • Any reasonable task received from management | |

Skills / Industry Qualifications Required:
• In depth training and induction provided by the company(Pretoria Head Office)
• 2-3 years experience desirable • COMPLETED DEGREE in one of the following: o BCom Pathology in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Pathology o Or Bachelor Communication Pathology o OR alternative BSc Audiology • Completed 1 year Community Service/Practical Qualities: • Conduct reliable tests to standard • Professionalism • Flexibility • Creativity • Thorough/Clear • Good support to patients/family/etc. • HPCSA registration • CPD points – own account • BHF registration • Continuous product training • Good interpersonal relationships • Comply with standards set by the company with regard to correspondence • Interpersonal Skills • Empathetic • Warm personality • Accuracy • Punctuality • Telephone Ethics • Positive attitude | |
